So, how much progress did I make towards my goals this weekend?
I accomplished both of my goals! I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it, but I did. I was able to write more in Seaside Valleria 3 (not as much as I wanted, but every little bit counts).
I was also able to finish ebook testing for Royals 10 – Yay! (Just for some context, this book is a novella, about 40,000 words, and it took about 7 hours to test the ebook). The next step is to finalize the digital file and get the pre-order set up. I think I may also setup pre-orders for Rush and Ripple (the first 2 in the Seaside Valleria series). Though I haven’t finished with those books, you can set up a pre-order without the final file if you’re far enough away from publication. I’ve done that with a lot of my books before, but it is more nerve-wracking for various reasons. I’m going to think about it.
What’s next this week? Finish up the draft of Seaside Valleria 3, which is due to my editor this weekend. I’ve still got a long way to go, so this is priority this week. I’ve also got ebook testing for Rush I’d like to finish up this week (this is my longest book yet, at about 90,000 words, so I estimate about 14+ hours for testing). It’s another crazy week at the day job, which means long hours there followed by long hours at home, but I think I can do it!
How about you? How was your weekend? What do you have planned for the week ahead? Comment on this post and let me know!
