I’ve decided to start a theme for posts going out on Wednesdays during my #100DaysofMKAuthorLife series – Wednesday Inspiration (or W-Inspiration or Inspiration for the Win)!
Why did I decide to do this? I think inspiration can be found everywhere, so I wanted to share something that inspired me this week (or at least recently). Today, I’m inspired by my nieces.
I was at a family-ish wedding over the weekend and I got to see them. They were actually my main reason for going. I mean, sure my bro and sis-in-law were there as well as others, but for me I am ALL about their two most intelligent, amazing, beautiful little girls (and I take my duties as Best Aunt in the Whole Wide World* seriously). My eldest niece is eight (how is she eight already?!) and is a math whiz. I am not a math whiz even with a calculator so her gifts astonish me. She’s also a great big sister and takes great care with my younger niece. The younger one is three (!!!) and she’s the mischievous one. She gets this glint in her eye and this smile on her face, and you just know she’s up to something. The younger one is also fearless – she’ll dash into the next adventure she sees (or the one she’s inventing while playing). It’s so much fun to see them grow up and interact and I love spending time with them. Every time I think about them, I smile – even now as I’m writing I just can’t help the silly grin on my face. So, today, my nieces are my inspiration.
