My Monday was extremely distracting. I’m sure you know why.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a boy on Monday! I was distracted all morning into early afternoon. I was working from home and had the live stream of the hospital’s doors on another computer (shh – don’t tell anyone!) so I got to watch live when Prince George and Princess Charlotte came to see their new brother (I was on a ‘quick break’) and when the Duke and Duchess debuted the new addition before going home (that was my ‘lunch break’).
Why do we (or at least I) love watching things like this? Personally, I just enjoy the excitement of it all. Not to mention, I’m a huge fan of royals and royal romances. I think I was also especially excited because, thanks to a free weekend of HBO, I finally watched Diana, Our Mother, the documentary where HRH The Duke of Cambridge and HRH Prince Harry talk about the late Princess Diana. I loved it, and found it very moving at times. Hearing Prince William talk about his children and how he tells them about ‘Granny Diana’ gave me a new perspective about this royal birth. If you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, I highly recommend it.
Were any of you tuned in like me for the royal birth? Do you get excited about royal events? Comment on this post and let me know!
